OPEN POSITIONS: 

INVENTORY PLANNER

The Inventory Planner will play a crucial role in accurately estimating customer demand and planning inventory flows accordingly to meet said demand in alignment with overall business objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage historical, point-of-sale and syndicated data, and seasonal trend analysis to develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation.
  • Evaluate forecast results and make recommendations to refine the process.
  • Re-forecast based on current performance, present revised projections to management
  • Determine and prepare buys in accordance with inventory targets, prioritizing and monitoring receipts for new product launches and replenishment purchase orders
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand demand forecast drivers, ensuring current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Make recommendations regarding inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Prepare reporting and participate in cross-functional meetings

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience

Experience:  2-3 years of experience in inventory management or demand planning for a consumer product company that sells to major retailers such as Target and TJ Maxx. Experience working with Amazon considered a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent Excel skills to manage, manipulate and analyze continually dynamic forecasting/inventory data.
  • Clear, organized and analytical thinker with keen attention to detail. Demonstrates flexibility, accountability and curiosity, and pushes self to surpass expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills, as this position regularly interfaces with all internal company departments as well as with external parties.

About the Job:

  • Competitive full-time salary with bonus potential, $75,000-$90,000/yr
  • This position will be based at our headquarters in Manhattan, NY. We are in the office 4 days, with flexible work-from-home Friday’s.
